How do I place an order?

Make up your mind first on the style (see our pictures) & colour, pattern  for the fabric (Plain colours, Stripes...) then contact us at info@australiantailor.com for a quote. Price of each fabric differs and therefore letting us know in your email the budget for this purchase or the fabric mills (See the mills we are working with) is useful. Once you have chosen the fabric (See next question), we will quote you our best price and if you accept our offer, we will email you an -easy to follow- order form illustrated with clear pictures to help you in your choices and measurement. Note that we can also meet customers in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. More info about meeting AustralianTailor.

How do I choose my fabric?

2 ways. You can meet us and browse our large selection of swatches. You can meet us in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne when we are there.

If you order online, once you have a precise idea on what you are looking for (colour, pattern, budget), contact us. We can take fabric pictures for you or post you some samples on what we've got to offer. We don't charge for samples however we will ask you to pay the postage. Within Australia, the price would be from $6 to $10 depending on the number of samples we are sending you. If you are overseas, contact us as we need to know where you are residing to calculate the postage. You can also pay a deposit on your order and we will then send those samples.

We recommend to ask for swatches instead of pictures. Comparing between a picture on screen and a fabric swatch is simply risky as colour is a subjective decision.

Can I pay with PayPal?
 

Yes we do accept PayPal. Please note

1-All PayPal fees are at buyers expenses unless we are telling you that we are paying for those. Add 5% to the amount you have to pay.

2-We will ship your order to the address registered/verified with PayPal ONLY

3-It might take up to 6 working days for PayPal to withdraw your payment to our bank account. We will not ship your order until the PayPal funds have been cleared by our bank.

Do I have to pay custom duties when receiving my item?

 

Each country's got his own customs laws and you should check with your nearest Customs Information Centre. Once the goods arrive in your country, any customs duties or taxes your government may levy are your entire responsibility.

How much is the postage?
 

All our prices include postage so you don't have to worry about it. Most of our items are made and delivered to you within 30 to 45 days after payment and reception of your correct measurement. For a quicker delivery, 15 days  a fee applies. Contact us for more info.

Can you make a suit or dress from a picture or from my own design?
 

YES we can! All genuine tailors should be capable to do so and our answer is YES. Contact us before sending us any picture or drawing. Thanks.

No worries. Just email us with what you are after and we will get back to you asap with possibly an offer. It's always useful to let us know your budget so don't hesitate.

Are you offering wholesale prices?
 

Yes we do. We are looking for resellers and agents. Resellers, contact us with some info about your business and what you would like to order wholesale. We are looking for shop owners to sell our tailored suits, overcoats, dresses... Agents in Australian wide may contact us. We want you to represent us in your region. We will discuss with you how we can help each other, how much commission we can offer you. Note that you will need an ABN and a small investment to start with.

Where are your fabrics coming from?

 

We are mainly working with European and Australian fabric makers. Some of the mills we are working with are Dormeuil, Holland & Sherry, J.J. Minnis, Taylor & Lodge, Fox Flannel, J.G Hardy, John Foster, Dugdale & Bros, Vitale Barberis Canonico... If you are after another mill, let us know and we'll try our best to get it for you. We are avoiding buying any of our fabrics in Asia. We prefer dealing with fabric mills than with fabric resellers.

What if my suit doesn't fit?
 

First thing to do is to check our return policy. Then contact us and explain the issue encountered. We offer free fittings, alteration services when the mistake is ours. If your order is over $1500, we also offer you free a Test Suit. This Test allows us to check that everything fits perfectly before making your actual suit. Read more about our Test Suit.

Can I send you one of my old suits to replicate or to use for measurement?

Definitely. Let us know first and make sure you've got our postal address right. Enclose with your suit a postpaid satchel to return it. Your old suit will be returned to you at your expenses only.

Where are your items made?

We are now making our suits in Australia, Asia, France and in the United Kingdom depending on the prices you are keen to pay or item and service you are ordering.
